Every Greta Lion hairbrush is the same brush. Seven colors, two sizes, one design, one bristle mix and one way of working. So choosing a color is genuinely just choosing a color – there's no functional trade-off hiding behind it.
What does deserve attention is how the brush works, how to use it so it actually improves your hair, and how to keep it working like new. Here's the full guide, starting with the colors.
The seven colors
Every color comes in two sizes: the full-size brush for home and a MINI for your bag. Same bristles, same cushion, same result.
BLUE
The newest addition to the collection. A bold, saturated blue for anyone who wants the brush to be the brightest thing on the shelf.
AL LIMONE
Named after the Italian lemon. Soft, sunny and light – a summer color that works all year.

FIG
A deep, rich tone named after the fruit. Calm and grown-up, and an easy one to gift.
EGO GRAY
The neutral of the collection. Understated, goes with any bathroom or bag, and the safest choice if you're buying for someone else.

LIME
Fresh, zesty green. Hard to lose in a bag, which is a genuine advantage for the MINI.
RACE
Fast, confident and impossible to miss. For anyone who likes their everyday objects to have some energy.
What makes the brush work: two kinds of bristles
The bristle mix is the whole story. Each brush combines natural boar bristles with high-quality nylon bristles, and the two do different jobs.
Nylon bristles: detangling and scalp
The nylon bristles are longer and have round tips. They reach through to the scalp, glide through wet or dry hair without pulling, and do the detangling. As they move across the scalp, they give it a gentle massage that stimulates circulation and supports the hair roots.
Natural bristles: shine
The natural boar bristles are shorter. Their job is to pick up the oil your scalp naturally produces and carry it along the length of the hair. That's where real shine comes from – your hair's own protection, distributed evenly, rather than a product coating. It's also what helps protect lengths against breakage and reduces static.
Together, the result is a brush that's gentle enough for fine hair, effective on thick hair, and suitable for all hair types, wet or dry.
Full-size or MINI?
Full-size
At 25 x 11 cm, this is the everyday brush for home. Its larger cushion covers more hair per stroke, which makes it the faster choice for long or thick hair. See all full-size colors.
MINI
Keeps all the properties of the large brush – it detangles, reduces static, distributes natural oils and adds shine – in a size that fits in any bag. It's been updated with more bristles, and comes with a clip so you can attach it to your bag and wear it as an accessory. See all MINI colors.
Plenty of people end up with both: the full-size at home, the MINI in the bag. They're designed to pair, and every color exists in both sizes.
How to brush properly
- Start at the ends. Never brush top-down through tangled hair. Pulling a knot down the full length of the hair is what causes breakage.
- Work upward in sections. Once the ends are free, move a few centimeters higher, then higher again, until you reach the scalp.
- Finish with full strokes from root to tip. This is where the natural bristles do their job, carrying oil from the scalp down the length.
- Brush at least twice a day, with gentle, continuous movements. Morning and evening is ideal – the evening session also helps clear the day's dust and product from the hair.
On wet hair
Wet hair is more fragile than dry, which is why many brushes aren't recommended on it. This one is: it gently detangles damp hair without damaging it. Use the same ends-first method and a lighter hand, and don't force through resistance.
That little hole in the cushion is supposed to be there
We get asked about this often enough that it deserves its own section. The rubber cushion that holds the bristles has a small hole in it. It isn't a defect – it's an air vent.
The cushion is what lets the bristles flex as you brush, so they follow the shape of your head instead of scraping across it. For it to flex, air needs to move in and out. The vent lets it. Without it, the cushion would feel stiff and the brush would pull more.
Keeping it clean
A clean brush works better and keeps hair cleaner for longer. Oil, product and dust build up in the bristles over time, and every stroke puts some of that back into freshly washed hair.
- After every use, remove the hair caught in the bristles.
- Every 1–2 weeks, depending on how often you use it, wash the bristles in lukewarm water with a gentle shampoo. Hold the brush bristles-down and don't submerge it.
- Rinse thoroughly, still bristles-down, so water doesn't run into the cushion through the air vent.
- Air-dry bristles-down, away from heat and direct sunlight.
- Disinfect occasionally if needed.
One tip worth trying: keep two brushes in rotation, one for freshly washed hair and one for the days in between. Both stay cleaner for longer, and your clean hair stays shinier.
Pair it with the right care
A brush distributes what's already on your scalp and in your hair. Start with good care and it has better material to work with. The HEALTHY HAIR SET pairs the Repair&Restore shampoo with the Repair&Restore conditioner-mask – wash, condition, then detangle with the brush, ends first.
Common mistakes
- Brushing top-down through knots
- Forcing the brush through resistance instead of working the tangle out from below
- Submerging the whole brush when washing it
- Drying it bristles-up or on a radiator
- Going weeks without cleaning, then wondering why clean hair looks flat the next day
The short version
One brush design, seven colors, two sizes. Longer nylon bristles with round tips detangle and massage the scalp; natural boar bristles carry your scalp's oils down the length for real shine and less static. Brush ends-first, twice a day, clean it every week or two, and dry it bristles-down. The hole in the cushion is an air vent, not a defect.
